Terms of Use
Effective August 2026
These terms govern your use of sellr.cc and any store built on it. By registering a store or using a Sellr-powered store, you agree to them. If you're registering on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that business.
1. What Sellr is
Sellr.cc is a platform that lets Merchants build, host, and run an online store - products, checkout, orders, and customer communication - without writing code. Sellr provides the software and infrastructure; Merchants are independent sellers responsible for their own products, pricing, fulfilment, and customer service.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering, keep your login credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract under Nigerian law to register as a Merchant.
3. Plans and billing
Sellr offers a Free plan and a paid Growth plan with a higher product limit, more team seats, and additional features (such as custom domains, promo codes, and analytics). Growth is billed on a recurring basis at the price shown at checkout; your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. If a Growth subscription lapses without renewal, your store reverts to Free-plan limits - your data isn't deleted, but Growth-only features and content (including custom footer branding) stop applying until you resubscribe.
4. No commission on sales
Sellr does not take a percentage of what a Merchant sells. Merchants connect their own Paystack account (or bank account, for manual transfer) and receive payments directly. Your only cost to use Sellr is your plan subscription, plus whatever fees Paystack itself charges for processing payments.
5. Merchant responsibilities
As a Merchant, you agree to:
- List products and prices accurately, and fulfil orders you accept.
- Only sell goods or services you're legally entitled to sell.
- Comply with applicable consumer protection, tax, and data protection law for your business.
- Handle your Customers' data responsibly and only for the purpose of running your store.
- Not use Sellr to sell counterfeit goods, illegal items, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
Sellr is not a party to the sale between a Merchant and their Customer, and isn't responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of what a Merchant sells.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Sellr to defraud anyone, distribute malware, scrape or abuse the platform, impersonate another business, or attempt to circumvent plan limits or security controls. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.
7. Themes and plugins
Sellr provides built-in themes and plugins, and lets Merchants upload their own. A theme or plugin a Merchant uploads privately to their own store remains theirs; anything submitted for wider distribution on Sellr may be reviewed before it's made available to other Merchants. Don't upload themes or plugins containing malicious code.
8. Third-party services
Sellr integrates with third-party services - Paystack for payments, and, if configured, a Merchant's own SMTP provider for email. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms, and Sellr isn't responsible for their availability or performance.
9. Intellectual property
Sellr and its built-in themes, plugins, and branding are owned by Sellr.cc. Product content, store copy, images, and customer data a Merchant adds to their store remain the Merchant's property - we don't claim ownership of it, and only use it to provide the service.
10. Termination
You may close your store at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, engages in fraud, or poses a risk to other users or to Sellr. Where reasonably possible, we'll give notice first.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Sellr is provided "as is." We work to keep the platform reliable but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Sellr isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, including lost sales due to downtime, third-party service outages, or a Merchant's own store configuration.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; we'll update the effective date above when we do. Continuing to use Sellr after a change means you accept the updated terms.
